Switching careers to web development in 6 months

1. Practice every day

Programming is learned by writing code. Set aside at least one hour a day for exercises, even short ones: consistency matters more than intensity.

2. Build real projects

A portfolio of three or four concrete projects (a showcase site, a management app, an API) is worth more than a long list of certificates. It is the first thing recruiters look at.

3. Learn to work as a team

• Use Git and GitHub from the very first weeks;
• Have your code reviewed and review others' code;
• Get familiar with agile methods (Scrum).

4. Make the most of your internship
